PHOTO CONTESTS

If you are interested in contests you may want to consider a few things that will give you an edge and perhaps a winning photo. The first thing that I think you will want to look at is the impact, the over all impact of the photograph. Is this photo one that has a strong visual impact? Will this photo grasp the attention of the viewer?

Another thing is the creativity, you will need to have an unique way of looking at a subject. Try all kinds of different angles and use your imagination to find your style and to make your photo stand out from the others.

The composition of the photo will carry a lot of weight. Be sure that the placement and the posing of the subject are will executed and interesting. Along with this be sure that the print presentation is flawless. These two things can help you score a lot better.

I hope that this photography information has been of some help to you and that you can come out a big winner.
Being able to start Shutterbug-Photobiz was a dream come true for me. I,m a internet marketer that can use my love for photography to make a very nice living for myself.

Get Rid of 'Grainy' Photos

SHARPNESS :: Getting your pictures sharp!
Get a cable release to push the button for you.
The sharpest aperture is 2 steps down from the smallest setting (if your lowest is f2.8 then f5.6 or f8 would be the sharpest)
Raising ISO creates more light but also adds grain, keep it under 200 if possible.

Your Own Photography Website

There are people that would like to have a photography website but they feel as though it would take a lot to get one up and running. In the world of photography marketing it is easier than you may have thought. You can start out with not more than an internet connection, a computer, which you probably already have.
You can put up a simple web page on a free website to start out with. If you go this route you will be able to learn how to publish and market your work without spending a great deal of money. Once you know what is going on you can upgrade, which is something that I think you should do. Free websites are ok to start with but they can hold you back. The paid service can offer you quite a bit more as far as functions and dependability.
When you do decide to upgrade you will need to have a name for your website. This is referred to as your domain name. To have a good domain name is to have one that includes one or more of the keywords that your site is aimed towards. Considering that this name is basically your company name you will want to think of something that will catch the attention of people as well as the search engines.
When you are planning out your website you will need to think about what you want to say and who you want to say it to. It is best to be straight forward and speck in a natural way. Be clear on what your website has to offer. Remember that people like to buy from people so just be a person. If you understand the websites objective and who your audience is when you are designing your website you will be just fine.
If you are having trouble with the planning of the website you may want to check out other peoples websites that are related to the same subject as yours. This way you will be able to see what you like and also what you may not like. If you like a certain part of a website chances are that others will to.

Night Photography

We all know that night photography is a big part of photography marketing. What you may not know is how to take a night photo that will make you money without using any light. No light that is, except the light of a fire. Still photography of some type of fire is the part of photography that can give you a whole new way to look at night photography.
It can be the single flame of a candle or perhaps a camp fire. It could even be the flame of a raging forest fire. Each one of these have to be photographed in a way that brings out the full potential of the light that you do have.
Let's say that you want to start out with a single flame, like a candle. This can seem like an easy thing to photograph, but once you start you may find out different. The first thing that you will want to do when you are attempting to take a photograph of a candle is to make sure that the room is air tight. A slight breeze can make things a lot harder than they have to be.
Another thing that you can do to help enhance the photograph of the candle and the light itself is to make sure to use a dark background. With the area being dark, this will put all the attention on the flame. Now that you are air tight and have your set-up you will want to use manual focus on your camera. When you do this you will want to focus on the tip of the flame.
The focus on the flame itself will not be in clear focus while it is producing light. The intensity and points on it will be varied. Because of this you will need to experiment with over exposure. You can do this by slowing down the shutter speed. Once you have the basic technique and shutter speed down you can play around a little bit by blowing a gentle breeze on the candle.
It may take a little bit for you to get to know what you are doing but it will be well worth it when you capture that perfect image that you worked so hard at getting. Don't forget that this type of photography does really well in photography marketing and you may come out with more than one photo that you can make money with.
